A Classic

Our Customers wanted an old house in a seacoast city. After almost a year of not finding what they were looking for they contacted us.

We found a great piece of land in the "country" only 20 minutes away from the city. They loved it! The house was positioned around an old tree with initials carved in it - the love affair began.

They liked Victorian style homes and porches. We started with dramatic peaks, lots of Victorian trim & gave them a wrap around porch that set their house apart from any others.

They liked to entertain - but also had started a family. We all know what that means.....so we divided the house - somewhat by the kitchen - formal areas were front to back on one side and family areas "surrounded" the kitchen on 2 side so that Mom could cook & keep an eye on things in the family room.

We used columns and railings to define the Great Room. Take 2 steps down into the Great Room for the high ceiling effect.

Upstairs are 4 large bedrooms. The master suite started over the garage until they walked through their framed house and saw the octagon space over the the eating area in the rear. After a quick redesign, their suite moved into the space like it was always meant to be.

Their son had a bright big bedroom and a huge cathedral bath. When their daughter was born, she had a room waiting for her that all little girls would love to have.
