Spring....I know it was here just a week ago. Seems like it can’t make up its mind whether to really make an official appearance. I’m ready.
Here at The Great Room it sure feels like it. We’re in full swing – designing and building. We’ve got a lot going on, and it’s quite exciting. We’re doing a big renovation in Newington, are just starting to sheetrock a great house in Kennebunk, and are just pouring the foundation for a gorgeous house (again) in Kennebunk. Hopefully we will be having our first Open House of the season in Kennebunk on May 6th, so mark your calendars. The invitations will be out shortly. Jodie, Mike, and their three kids have just moved into their big beautiful cape in York. We wish them many good years there.
For those of you who are getting this for the first time, welcome. We have had an incredible amount of email and new customers from the website. It is indeed quite a powerful tool. Plus it’s a lot of fun to get messages from Canada, England, and even Australia!
Michelle is so busy designing on her computer that we’re thinking of moving a cot into her office. She has many new designs that are working well for houses to be built from the Hamptons to Wells Beach. Paul has been out looking at lots and getting down and dirty with excavators. Must be a “guy thing” as I’m quite content to stay in the office or sit in the car and nod my head in approval. I want walls AND heat!
I guess that leads me to our Website. Paul worked so hard on it this year. It is a wonderful way to peek at some of our homes. We've had lots of great responses to it. So it was worth all the time, effort and bickering that we put into it (Paul ALWAYS won the arguments as to how it should look because he was the only one who knew how to change it!).
With the warm weather Paul and Michelle are back out on the golf course for a second season. Michelle and I got him a great golf cart and all the accessories we could find for his birthday. He can at the very least LOOK good out on the links. Michelle’s big thing for this season is to not lose control-have fun…to be continued! As for me, I’m sticking to tennis. Between that and two teen-agers, I’ve got enough things to do in my “spare” time.
