Summer News 2001
Lazy days of summer? I think not – at least not here at The Great Room Company. I can barely hear myself think (Paul is already making some kind of snide remark about me thinking anyway). We are in full renovation here on The Hill. We are experiencing just what some of you have lived through – banging of hammers, dirt that you never knew you had flying everywhere. We just keep thinking of the finished product, but it can’t be fast enough.
Our biggest pleasure has come from our Marsh View Home being featured in the August edition of Down East magazine. It was a great article, and no, I didn’t pay the author to put all those nice things in about us! The pictures by our photographer, Sandy Agrafiotis, are superb. A big thank you to Sandy. The article went way beyond our expectations. We are thrilled. Meantime, we are finishing the beach house in Wells that is so light and airy. The kitchen is in and things are looking wonderful. The “Celtic” house is well on its way to completion also. It has so many unique features and they are all blending together as planned. The next house in Kennebunkport is being sided. We’re waiting for the owners to return from a Europe vacation to put it in full speed again. The only drawback to these homes is that the summertime traffic prohibits us from having any Open Houses. We have also just begun a beautiful house in Hampton Falls. It will feature an endless pool, which would feel pretty good about now! We will also be returning to our Traditional or Not home to do major additions to each end of the house. This is not something that we’d do for everyone-just our customers! Keep watching the website for updates! It’s all so exciting.
