HO HO HO! That’s NOT the sound of Santa or The Grinch…it’s Paul and Michelle in the other room laughing at me writing this letter. My letters seem to be the brunt of many email and office jokes- I think they’re just jealous of my fabulous writing skills.
Where to start…well, I guess Kennebunk and Kennebunkport would be a fitting beginning AND ending. We’ve been there so long that George and Barbara are waving to us as we drive by (when they’re not counting George W.’s votes for him)! We have had a great season there. We have finished the house in Riverlocks. It is a spectacular blend of old and new. We are in process of the finishes on Cottagewood. This promises to be a one-of-a kind house even before it’s finished. The kitchen will be in by the end of December-a treat for all! Hopefully we’ll be toasting Valentine’s Day by their fire! We are just beginning the finishes on Winterberry in North Hampton. This house has a unique look all its own. It shows so well sitting up on its hill. Back to the Port with two more houses that sort of flank the Bush Compound-by half a mile on either side. Both of them have their own wonderful personalities. One will have a Celtic flair to it, while the other remains true to the beach. Meanwhile, just down the beach in Wells, we have just “removed” an old family beach home, which will be replaced by an airy new home. The great part of this is that it’s the same family! There promises to be more “action” on moody Beach and back down into the Hamptons this spring. Gosh, after writing all this down-no wonder we’re worn out by the end of the day!
Our biggest news of this year will actually happen next year. One of our Great Room homes will be featured in Down East Magazine in their Homes Issue in March. It is the "Marsh View" home on our website. This is the home that sits right on the marsh. We are very excited that it was chosen for this issue, and we’d like to thank Sandy Agrafiotis (photographer extraordinaire) for getting it in!
