Happy New Year!! We wish all of our friends a healthy and prosperous upcoming year. It promises to be a good one for The Great Room Company. We appreciated your cards, letters, and pictures of "expanding" families. It’s always fun to hear from you - especially when all your news seems to be so good.

We have pretty much finished our late summer / early fall builds. Right now the houses in Eliot, ME., and West Newbury, MA., are in the rough mechanicals stages. We are just beginning to frame in Moody Beach - thanks to our environmental "friends" at the DEP, who passed around the paperwork for about three months.

We are looking forward to Spring and starting some spectacular new houses and great renovations. Our lots in Brentwood are getting quite a bit of interest. We should begin building there by next month. Prices on the lots are still more than competitive and the houses to be built promise to be some of our very best. It’s been a long time coming, but the end result will definitely be worth the wait.

We will be starting our OPEN HOUSES again as soon as we can get heat in Eliot and West Newbury. These two houses are totally different, but both offer dramatic and livable spaces. If you’re thinking of building, these are MUST SEE houses. We can’t wait to show them off.

As for us, well, Doug has retired his drafting board in a corner behind his office door and is on his computer full time now. Between his great designs and the computer’s capabilities for 3 - D, he is getting outstanding results. I just stand and marvel at what comes out of the printer. He’s hard at work on our Spring projects. I don’t know who gets more excited - him, or our customers - when his "pictures" come off the printer.

Paul’s spending a lot of his time on the road - and also trying to put them (the roads) in! We have three projects requiring roadwork coming up. Septic designs are also keeping him busy. Doug and I are so jealous - Paul always gets the good tasks to do.

As for me, I’m trying to keep my Southern blood warm in the office (as usual) and work on marketing all these beautiful homes we’re doing. So you’ll probably be hearing a lot from me, and I’d love to hear from a lot of you.

Let us know if you’re interested in getting our building process started. This is the time we like to get the ball rolling. We’d be delighted to meet with you. So in closing, we’d just like to say stay warm and GO PATS!!!!!

Sincerely,

Olivia, Paul, and Doug
