GREETINGS FROM THE GREAT ROOM
Fall in New England - it’s been picture perfect so far. Hope everyone has been enjoying the good weather. Mother Nature put her best foot forward for our OPEN HOUSE on Moody Beach a few weeks ago. What a day to show off a beach house - and show it off we did - between 150 and 200 of you came to see it! We were thrilled. A BIG thank you to Maureen and Steve for letting us show their house. We got to see lots of old friends, like the Hersey’s from Kennebunk who are enjoying their new "old" home on the beach and the Schramm family from Berwick who doubled their living space in their home. We also met lots of new friends, too.
We are going into Fall with more exciting new jobs. We will be building a stunning new house for the Cheney’s on Moody Beach ( after the old one is torn down ! ) Moody is starting to feel like the old neighborhood - we love it. Speaking of old neighborhoods, we will also be making a return trip to Bassett Lane in Newfields. The Shope’s will be building one lot down from the Berry’s house that is sporting a beautiful green stain now. The Shope’s house will also be a "Great Porch" house and will feature an in - house office. We’re gearing up for more renovations with projects from Rye to Wells. The Kee’s have just signed up with us. They’re relocating and just beginning to go through the "process".
The Martel’s are moving into their house in East Kingston. It is such a bright house and has such beautiful views from their hillside. We wish them a lot of luck. The DiPietro’s will be moving into their house in mid November. It has very dramatic spaces. The Great Room has 8’ high arched windows flanking the fireplace and a very unique staircase. They also have sweeping views and more wildlife than I’ve ever seen in one place. We also wish them the best.
Our BIGGEST piece of news came this morning from Andy Evans, our Forman. He and his wife, Val, had another baby boy yesterday, Oct.16. His name is Colin and he entered this world as a healthy 9 pound baby. I know a lot of you who know Andy would be interested in this little tidbit of information.
We’re busy, but could be busier - as always. It’s not too early for you SPRING builds to be calling for appointments. There’s much to be done before the first nail gets hammered! For those of you considering beach renovations - the sooner the better. As the Chenney’s will tell you, DEP takes a L O N G time!
Stay warm and well.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
