The Hill
"The Hill" is a neighborhood that was created by
moving fourteen Historic Portsmouth Homes to this downtown location. In the late 1960's 64 buildings in the North
End of Portsmouth were identified as historically significant,
but just these few were saved. Nearly 200 homes were torn down.
